White Oak, Bark and trunk

White Oak, Bark and trunk (Quercus alba) the pale, light grey bark is separated into square and rectangular sections, often peeling a bit at the edges. In contrast to the Red Oak which has darker and smoother bark. Photo taken Monday,March 4th, 2013 in Morris Park, Philadelphia.
