That is a big hen. It is mating season so Mr. Tom will be gobbling and strutting his stuff.
I looked for the male but did not see him. This was my first sighting of wild turkeys in West Fairmount Park in the 17 years I’ve been here. I have seen them down by Bartrum’s garden and one in Overbrook.
