Bloodroot at Wolf Creek Trout Lily Preserve, Whigham Georgia, March 19th, 2017

We made a special trip to see the Sanguinaria canadensis at the Preserve after the Trout Lily was for the most part done blooming.  Click on any picture you want to see to get the best presentation.

Not easy to find. We had to look carefully. On the upper trail that leads slowly down to the floodplain, but very close to the beginning of it.

 


 



The Trillium maculatum was still going!


And we saw The Blue eyed grass!

Bloodroot is blooming in Morris Park, Philadelphia April 12, 2015

The bloodroot is blooming in multiple patches all around the area just off of Morris Park Road. Just walk up the trail and look to your left in your right as the trail starts to wind around. A nice sunny afternoon in the next several weeks is the best time to view the blooming flowers! Enjoy!
