So bright and Rich the Sun’s light was today in Morris Park, Philadelphia!
Golden became the trees in the soft winter light and so crisp the silhouettes against the illuminated backdrop of our maturing winter sky!
The mid January light
So barren of growth and bare to the bones the forest has become. An immature red tailed hawk soars through the canopy quietly.
What a contrast to the contrasts of yesterday’s light today! It is so different , not dull! The only sound in the forest a lone woodpecker working on a young  Red Maple.
Tap tap tap……..tap tap……tap……tap tap tap
Both the trees and the sky are in agreement that there will be not a trace of a shadow today. Â But quite a show of silhouettes as the day closed upon the forest!
